Taking card payments
Preparing weekly returns to HO for petty cash and payments received.
Liaise with suppliers - ensuring they all work within company procedures

Grass cutting & strimming. Weed control. Maintain hanging baskets, tubs and shrubs
Maintenance of all equipment
Repair & sweep drives

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly couple to join our small team on our 5 star ‘gold award’ camping and touring park which is just 2 miles from the internationally renowned destination of St Ives in Cornwall. We pride ourselves in the high standards of all our facilities and customer care and therefore the successful applicants must be hardworking, flexible.
We expect high standards of cleaning and therefore the jobs will involve split shifts to ensure a thorough clean of the facilities during the night and a check through in the evening. The night shift will also involve walking around the site to assist guests with enquiries and ensuring everyone enjoys a good night’s rest.

Anticipated working hours/schedule – this is subject to review at any time:

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: early July to end August (approx.) – you will be required to work on bank holidays
5 nights per week (22.5 hours per week each)
7pm to 7.30pm - checking through the toilets, games room etc
10pm to midnight - walking around the site as night wardens, greeting the night buses etc
Midnight to 2.00am – cleaning the facilities building and continuing to check on site noise levels etc

Additional hours may be required to cover sickness absence etc and therefore you must be very flexible.

The role will involve meeting and greeting customers, using the booking system and working in reception, site walkrounds and some site maintenance duties, cleaning the toilet and shower blocks and handling customer enquiries.

Experience of working on a campsite is not essential, though an interest in caravanning and camping is desirable. Being happy to work outdoors whatever the weather is a necessity.

A pitch with electric hook up will be provided for the duration of the contract. Your own accommodation is required - either a caravan or a motorhome.

Due to a change in family circumstances of current wardens, we are looking for a couple to start immediately.

The wardens’ duties involve all aspects of the day-to-day running of the park. This includes but is not limited to:

Pitching tourers, motorhomes and seasonal tourers / grounds maintenance – supervising and working with the ground work team, siting and connecting static caravans and constructing bases / mowing using a fleet of sit-on mowers and strimming. / selling and delivering gas / supervising and cleaning of facility blocks / booking-in of touring customers / dealing with customer queries / provision of tourist information / gas sales / ordering and selling of groceries and newspapers in small shop attached to reception / handling cash and stock taking / dealing with customers and suppliers face-to-face, over the phone and via email.

This is a varied and interesting role. Previous experience, full driving licence and basic computer skills are essential. Applicants need to demonstrate a cheerful, flexible approach and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Our present managers will retire at the end of this season, they have been a great asset to us and have worked extremely hard during the five years with us their decision to leave us is to free up more time for themselves.
Experience in this type of environment would be advantageous although we may offer the position to a willing hard working couple.
There would be a need for manual dexterity in moving touring caravans to and from storage area together with ground and general maintenance.
The ability to work as part of a team and mange other team members is important. Some clerical duties will be required, the main request is to be people friendly, honest and committed.
Our present managers are willing to teach successful applicants the role of park managers during August / September 2015.
The position would be available from March 2016 until November 2016.
