We are seeking an enthusiastic couple to join our team as Site Wardens for our family friendly park in the heart of 1066 Country in East Sussex. We have 75 pitches and the role is from mid-April to mid-September (tbc).

This is a family run site with an emphasis on our friendly, welcoming nature. Requirements include a happy attitude, good communication and a willingness to be flexible.

You will be required to work a 6 day week in Peak periods (July & August & May half term week) and a 5 day week in weeks outside these periods.

We are looking for another couple to join our existing warden couple. This role will mainly involve afternoon/evening work at weekends and two full days during the week.

The variety of duties may include:

Must have experience in maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness across all guest accommodation, sales vans and all site facilities with an emphasis on exceeding customer expectations.

Must be customer focused, and have good DIY skills with the ability to perform general maintenance duties. Whilst we have our own engineers, practical hands on work is required and experience thereof will be highly advantageous.

Other duties include recycling, litter picking, grass and hedge cutting, cleaning shower blocks, delivering gas cylinders and siting vans. Driving licence and towing experience are a must. Other duties will include Park security which will include out of hours call outs.

We have around 175 grass or hardstanding pitches and a computerised booking and till system. Access onto the Park is by a barrier with vehicle registration plate recognition linked to the customer’s booking. The reception area is located in the shop, there are two toilet/shower blocks, a laundry and play area. We also have caravan storage for our customers and seasonal pitches from March to October. In high season we operate an outdoor children’s paddling pool.

The Styche Caravan and Camping site is in the idyllic town of Much Wenlock, Shropshire. The site is a 10-minute walk from the centre of Town and is nestled between open fields and woodland. There are various walks and trails that lead across the Wenlock Edge itself and directly into town. There are also easy road access to Ironbridge, Telford and Shrewsbury which makes the location desirable to visitors.
The site itself includes 25 caravan or motorhomes touring pitches some of which are hard standing and enough room for 15 tents with five hook ups available. There is a toilet and shower block available for customers use and mains water.
The site is now part of The Edge Adventure Activities which is just a short drive/walk away. Successful applicants will work alongside management and have support when needed but it essential for applicants to understand that the day to day running of the park would be their responsibility.

Job Vacancy: Site Assistants (Couple)

We are looking for an outgoing couple with a good sense of humour and excellent customer service skills to work within a small team as Site Assistants for the Spring/Summer 2018 season. Hours will be a minimum of 25 each per week but will rise during busy period so we would ask for some flexibility on days/hours. However, even in peak periods we will try to schedule your shifts so you are both off at the same time for at least two days per week so you get the opportunity to explore the wonderful North Devon area together.

There will be a variety of duties required as follows:
Cleaning of units between lettings
Cleaning of toilet blocks
Reception/shop work - welcoming guests, telephone queries, emails. We have an online booking system so some computer work will be required.
Serving breakfast in the cafe & tidying after service
General site repairs and maintenance
Laundry and ironing
General gardening, including grass cutting, weeding etc.

In return we will offer:

Successful applicants should be physically capable with a positive attitude, strong sense of customer service and pride in their work. Applicants should also be reliable, with a clean driving licence and vehicle, have an aptitude for problem solving and a flexible attitude towards work.

While not essential; intermediate I.T. skills, some shop/retail experience and basic D.I.Y. skills would be an advantage.

Hours of work are to be confirmed (but would be approx. 30 hours per person per week) and to include weekends and bank holidays. Successful applicants would also be given two full days off per week (together). Along with your salary we are also offering a one bedroom timber lodge as your accommodation.

Pets are not permitted.
