Glenbrittle Campsite is located on the north west coast of the Isle of Skye, You will find the campsite at the very end of a 7 miles single track road situated at the base of the magnificent Cuillin Mountain range next to one of Skye's few sandy beaches. Fantastic location if you love the peace and quiet, mountain walks and remote areas.
The site is very large with roughly 200 tent pitches and at present 34 electric hook ups. It has a shower and toilet block with a shop/cafe nearby in a separate building still on site.
The campsite is very busy and active site during it opening times from 25th March to 30 September 2017.

Glenbrittle Campsite are recruiting for dedicated, enthusiastic hard working staff, Full time and part time seasonal with a real sense of pride in their work and varied skill sets to work at Glenbrittle Campsite, Glenbrittle, Carbost, Isle of Skye, IV47 8TA. These are live in positions and would be required to share accommodation in static caravans on site. Or Electric supplied with own camper van accommodation. The campsite is located at the base of the Cuillin mountain range, is remote and right next to Glenbrittle beach Isle of Skye.
Seasonal positions: 25th March till 30th Sep 2017, training onsite required early march.
Shop onsite: selling essential groceries and camping equipment, freshly baked bread, tray bakes and pastries , The shop is also the reception area and office for booking Electric hook ups on site pitches etc. Answering the phone and emails daily.
The site: requires a lot of ongoing maintenance during the season anything from mowing the grass, fencing, cleaning toilets and showers, filling pot hole in track, fixing any problems that occur during the day to day running of the site, changing water filters and general cleanliness of site
The toilet and shower block: this needs attention all through the day to maintain high standards of cleanliness which reflects the nightly rate the campers pay.
Skills ideally required for all these roles are:
Knowledge of:
• Building and plumbing, borehole water supplies and water filter systems.
• Using equipment like ride on mower, Strimmer, Mitre saw etc.
• Knowledge of Health and safety at work and completing risk assessments
• Retail experience using touch screen till and EPOS System.

Skills and qualities essential for all these roles:

Job Vacancy: Park Wardens

The couple required should be well presented, hardworking, cheerful with a good sense of humour to join our team from May to mid September 2017 to include weekend and bank holiday work during this period.

Duties to include reception/office, taking bookings, shop, some cleaning and general maintenance work (Mr Fix It duties). Previous experience would be helpful but not essential as training will be given. It is more important to have the skills to do such work.

Hours depending on season, 30 hours each rising to 40 plus hours weekly. Extra hours available for bar duties. Work to be spread over 5 days Wednesday to Sunday.

We are located just outside the pretty market town of March in Cambridgeshire and surrounded by open farmland, big skies and wonderful sunrises and sunsets. Our small family run 15 pitch camp site backs onto the Old River Nene with fishing and canoeing available for visitors. There is also a B&B onsite.

Job Vacancy: Campsite Wardens/housekeepers

We are a small family Certified Site with 15 pitches. We also have canoe hire and archery and fishing available for staying visitors and we operate a bed and breakfast and self catering accommodation.

We are looking for a couple that are interested in a summer (April 17 to September 17) position. You would be joining a team of another two couples working both on the campsite, with the activities we offer and in our b&b.

The work will be for 23 hours per week plus on call duties, in exchange for free pitch, wifi, electric, laundry etc plus a small remuneration of £50.00 per week.

Duties include helping us checking campers in and out, site maintenance, cleaning facilities (2 showers and toilets and washing up area)and helping canoeists and equipment in and out of the water. Hence some physical work is required. There are also housekeeping duties in our b&b and self catering units and you will be expected to meet and greet customers there also.

As you would expect you will be required to work a variety of shifts including some weekends and bank holidays and on call duty.

No direct previous experience required. We are looking for a friendly helpful couple with good customer service skills/background, like to see a job through from start to finish and take pride in their work, who are happy to muck in and who are reliable! Practical skills are required with regards to grounds work and maintenance. It would be suited to a couple ideally as on occasion tasks may overlap and may suit if you are looking to explore a different area for the summer and enjoy what the Fens has to offer.

We are currently looking to recruit a seasonal full time couple who must be enthusiastic, friendly, self-motivated and hard working to live and work on the site from the beginning of March till the end of October 2017.

A good knowledge of caravans and the ability to tow and site caravans is required as the site warden would be required to help customers with the siting of caravans and help if required with awnings and tents etc. The role would also include the cleaning of the toilet and shower block, laundry room, grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, strimming and hedge cutting. Duties would also include taking bookings and payment for on/ off short stay guests and dealing with sub contractors and Health and safety on the site.

The successful couple must be prepared to offer excellent customer service and be flexible as they would be required to work early mornings and late evenings, weekends and bank holidays as requested, so therefore be prepared to be flexible with hours and days of work.

Ground maintenance roll:
Showing guests to pitches and accommodation and dealing with any issues quickly and professionally, general park and accommodation maintenance which could include refurbishments and accommodation construction, unblocking drains, working at height or in confined spaces, daily hot tub maintenance, cutting the grass using a ride on mower, hedge cutting, general ground maintenance which may include heavy lifting, moving caravans in and out of the storage area and parking customers caravan on arrival, refuge collections and recycling, helping maintain toilet blocks in cleaners absence, deal with any jobs that arise in a professional manner.

Reception roll:
You will be operating our computerised booking system, dealing with telephone inquiries, emails and reservations, checking guests in, respond to inquiries and give general tourist information, help with laundry and ironing when the cleaners are busy, serving restocking and keeping clean our small onsite store. other jobs as they arise. You will need to be people-friendly and enthusiastic.

Holiday cover:
To cover other wardens holidays you will be required to be on duty in the the evening, dealing with any onsite issues, looking out for and pitching late arrivals and answering any out of hours calls.

Although previous experience on a camping & caravan park is not essential relevant experience in the duties of the positions are. A willingness to learn, enthusiasm and a sense of humor are important, Must be fit active flexible and motivated with a positive attitude to comfortably fit in with our existing team and be prepared to work varied hours during the year (long days in summer and shorter days in winter) Both applicants must have a full driving licence.


The shift pattern is initially 4 on 4 off but could change depending on the demands of the season, mainly day shifts only working between 8am and 6pm you can live onsite for the duration your 4 day shift and when doing holiday cover. the position would ideally suit a couple who live within an hour or 2 drive of the park.

The job is seasonal, from mid March to end of October. With a full time post for a single person or a post and a half for a couple. This will include all weekends and bank holidays. The post is Ideally suited for a couple but not essential.

You will be required to ensure site facilities, services and products are available, operational and maintained to a high standard and that they follow all health and safety requirements. To do this you will cover 3 main areas of the business, which are, Customer Care Services, Operational and Administration duties, Facilities and Grounds Maintenance. The owners / managers are present on site, but being able to work under own initiative is essential.

Customer Care Services:

• Assess and carry out rudimentary repairs and maintenance to site utilities and facilities
• To ensure that high standards of maintenance are kept in all areas within buildings and grounds on the site.
• Maintaining high standards of maintenance in all buildings, grounds including gardens, roads, play area and other areas within the caravan and camping park site boundary.

Other general tasks involved in the day to day running of a park and working alongside the existing management staff. Wardens are expected to be vigilant, proactive and efficient

Job Vacancy: Caravan Park Warden

We have a vacancy for a full time warden for the 2017 season at our popular and busy caravan park in North Aberdeenshire. The position may be suitable for 2 people on a job share basis. Duties include (but are not limited to):

Processing bookings taken over the phone and website
Dealing with customer queries
Dealing with suppliers
Liaising with other company staff
Grass cutting and garden maintenance
Cleaning and litter picking
General maintenance

The successful candidate will demonstrate basic computer skills (experience with an online booking system an advantage), have a friendly and flexible attitude, and be a customer focused team player. You will be fit and active, self-motivated and happy to work under pressure. You should also be a PVG Scheme member or be willing to become one.

Salary is competitive and negotiable.
