Seasonal Job vacancy: Site Assistants/Housekeeping Couple

Oban Caravan & Camping Park is situated 3 miles south of Oban on the coast with beautiful views looking out to the islands of Kerrera and Mull.

The park covers 15 acres and has pitches for tents, trailer tents, touring caravans and motorhomes.

On site there are also 3 new camping pods, 12 static caravans, a cottage and 3 lodges all available for hire by our visitors.

Facilities on site include 3 toilet/shower blocks, two of which were refurbished for the 2014 season, a shop and reception building, laundry room, games room and campers kitchen.

Job Vacancy: Site Assistants/Housekeeping Couple

We require an active, friendly and enthusiastic couple with a flexible work attitude and good people skills to start in early-mid March until late October 2015(possibly later) A touring pitch with electric hook up will be provided as part of the package.

You will be required to work well as part of a small friendly team on our 15 acre touring and camping park and will work closely with the site managers.

Driving licence is required.

Duties to include:

Cleaning: shower/toilet blocks, shop & reception building, laundry room, camping kitchen and games room.

Cleaning static caravans, lodges and camping pods.

Laundry duties.

Site maintenance and upkeep, including grass cutting, strimming, refuse collection, property repairs and painting.

Assisting customers with any queries they may have.

Hours of work will include some early evening hours. The person responsible for cleaning will be required to work split shifts with an early start during the busiest part of our season. You will be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays. We require a commitment to stay for the whole season.

Hours of work will be approximately 40 hours per week.

This seasonal position would be most suited to a couple who have an interest in caravanning or camping and would like to spend their free time exploring the West Coast of Scotland with a base in Oban. Single applicants are also welcome to apply.

Job Vacancy: Seasonal Wardens for 2015

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and practical couple to work as Wardens for the 2015 Season.

Duties will include siting tent and tourer arrivals, cleaning and other tasks involved in the day to day running of a park. Groundwork and gardening together with maintenance and repairs are an integral part of this role. Other tasks such as gas deliveries and out of hours check in. Cleaning of park facilities to a high standard. There may also be other duties required within Park facilities. Evenings on call will involve late patrol of the park.

Successful candidates should possess a high level of customer care. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage. A clean, current driving licence is essential.

Hours worked five days out of seven to include weekends and Bank Holidays. Will also include evenings on call.

Job Vacancy: Assistant Warden

Working under the direction of the Senior Warden, you will take responsibility for the general maintenance of the park, ensuring the upkeep of the main facilities building, general cleaning, grounds maintenance, grass cutting, weeding and basic maintenance duties. You will also be required to assist with reception duties, including evening cover for late arrivals, and general guest care as required.

You will be expected to work together and with the Senior Warden to ensure all duties required for the effective running of the park are completed to a high standard.

Job Vacancy: Holiday Park Assistants

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, flexible and hardworking couple who would like the opportunity to get fully involved in all aspects of running a campsite to join us for the 2015 season, from March to the end of September.

We are a busy 76 pitch touring and static site in the Lake District National Park ideally situated for exploring the whole of the National Park. Ullswater and Derwentwater lakes are within easy reach as are the towns of Keswick, Grasmere and Ambleside. The area is prime walking country and the fells of Blencathra, Great Dodd and Clough Head create a breathtaking backdrop to the site.

We are a franchise of The Camping and Caravanning Club and have been awarded 5 pennants by the AA and 5 stars by Visit Britain for the past 4 years. We pride ourselves in offering the best service with the highest standards of cleanliness and customer care.

The contract is variable per couple, between 34-40 hours per person per week, including weekends, early and late duties and on-call. Full training will be given and once trained you will run the site on our days off.

As part of our team your duties will be varied and will include:
- taking bookings using the Camping and Caravanning Club computer system
- researching and promoting local events and activities
- receiving and pitching our guests
- serving in the on-site licensed shop and dealing with customer queries
- cleaning the facilities block
- undertaking general maintenance and groundwork

This is very much a guest focused role and a cheerful disposition at all times is an essential attribute. Ideally you will have a customer service background, be self-motivated with hands-on approach and have good IT skills. Experience of working on a campsite is desirable.
