Job Vacancy: Seasonal Wardens

Seasonal Warden Couple required to assist the managers in the day to day running of this beautiful holiday park set on the shores of Lake Windermere for the period 1st February 2105 until the 24th December 2015. We require a couple who are practical, active and relate well to others. One post will consist of approximately 42 hours per week and will be mainly outdoor park duties and the second post approximately 35 hours per week to work mainly in reception/office,retail and cleaning although role flexibility is essential to cover off duty and busy periods.The duties required will include: customer care, shop, office administration, reception, Sales, some maintenance & repair work, painting, boat launching, litter picking, grass cutting, strimming, gardening, security checks, gas delivery, holiday bookings using Angelfish booking systems and Pitch-up also showing visitors to pitches, cleaning amenities.
Weekend, bank holiday and evening work will be required as well as on call duties (3 nights). The couple will be scheduled for two days off together each week. A three bedroom static caravan will be provided. Previous holiday park experience would be an advantage but not essential. You will be required to be flexible, enthusiastic and be prepared to work alone and as part of a team. Excellent customer service skills are required. A clean current driving licence is essential. You will play an important role in ensuring that the park is attractive and presentable at all times. Applicants must be pleasant and presentably dressed, a uniform will be provided.

It is a condition of employment that you will reside in the caravan for the period of employment.

CARAVAN SERVICE MANAGER (SILVERDALE PARK)
We are looking to recruit a first class Caravan Service Manager. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of a first class Pre Sales and After sales service to our customers across all our Parks, working 5 days per week, up to 48 hours per week, to include occasional Saturday or Sunday dependent upon business needs.

The role will include (but not be limited to) the following:-

• Communicating politely with customers and other staff by email, letter, face to face, and telephone.
• Handling all customer complaints, minor incidents, or security issues.
• Solving and investigating customer’s problems passed on by Reception, Site Wardens or management teams
• Providing advice and help to customers on the use of the products or services supplied by the Holgates Group
• Taking responsibility for inspection of caravan holiday homes upon receipt for any faults, and communicating that to the relevant manufacturer.
• Preparing and handing over caravans to new customers, and advising them of their responsibilities.
• Dealing with our after sales supply chain of caravan manufacturers and local companies usually via telephone, email and PC web based solutions.
• Ordering spares and parts at best prices.
• Maintaining accurate and timely records of correspondence or discussions with the customers and suppliers.
• Preparing reports for management as required.
• Developing customer service standards, policies and procedures for the organisation.
• Keeping abreast developments and changes in customer service field by reading pertinent journals, attending meetings and courses.
• Analysing data or statistics to identify the customer service level, the organisation is providing.

Desirable Skills

• Politeness, confidence, tact, patience and diplomacy while dealing with problems.
• Listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to produce creative ideas to improve customer service standards.
• Ability to advise and manage the workload our engineering team and work under tight deadlines
• Excellent Man Management skills, and able to work effectively under pressure.
• Good level of DIY or practical experience in how caravans and their component systems work to be able to suggest appropriate actions to be taken to resolve the problem.

Qualifications & Experience

• GCE/ GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
• Good standard of ability in MS Word, Excel and web related skills.
• Experience in customer service management and sales related activities would be desirable.

We are looking for a couple to work with us for the 2015 season starting March 2015 until 31st October 2015. The position would suit an active couple and experience in this type of work is not strictly necessary, but advantageous.
Most weeks this is a quiet and peaceful site, but applicants must be prepared to work through busier weekends, Bank Holidays and peak season. The hours can be long when we are busy.
Duties would include
• meet and greet,
• reception work,
• taking payments,
• cleaning to a very high standard,
• mowing, general gardening, strimming etc,
• Refuse management,
• Site maintenance when required.

During quiet periods, job sharing is acceptable as only one member of staff is normally required rising to two and more during peaks.
