BAR & CATERING STAFF
Responsible for delivering high quality service and ensuring all drinks and food are presented to our high standards. HOUSEKEEPING AND CLEANING STAFF
To ensure our park complex areas and holiday homes meets the Company’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times. Responsible for all aspects of cleaning, checking inventory and reporting maintenance issues.

KITCHEN
Responsible for ensuring all food is stored, prepared products and presented to our high standards.
Working closely with the kitchen and bar & catering team, you should be able to communicate and work efficiently.

RECEPTIONISTS
Your duties will include welcoming customers and visitors, maintaining computerised bookings system, general administration and cash handling.

You will be a strong communicator, have an excellent spoken and telephone manner and possess good organisational skills. A courteous and professional individual, you will be confident in dealing with a range of situations. You should have a working knowledge of Microsoft software. Experience of electronic bookings systems is a distinct advantage.

GROUNDS AND MAINTENANCE
Working as a part of a team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties including general maintenance in communal areas, holiday homes and outside grounds. You should be able to work in varied weather conditions and be able to perform tasks which require a degree of manual handling.

NIGHT WARDENS
Responsible for the security of the park during evening/night hours. You will deal with situations affecting the comfort and safety of our owners, customers and staff.

You will possess the skills to resolve difficult situations efficiently and professionally. You will also be required to act as a point of contact for customers, arriving on park, after normal reception hours.

A current driving licence is required.

LIFEGUARDS/LEISURE CENTRE ASSISTANTS
An enthusiastic, motivated, reliable and friendly individual you will be a team player as well demonstrating initiative, drive and enthusiasm. An understanding of health and safety and a current NPLQ qualification is an essential.

April: 6 hours x 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), 10am to 4.30pm (1/2 hour for lunch) – more hours if necessary

- You will be required to assist in getting the site ready for opening including grounds care, cleaning the facilities/amenities and helping with stocking the shop etc. We will also show you the booking system etc during this time.

May to early July; September: 8 hours x 5 days per week (will include all weekends), 8.30am to 5.30pm (one hour for lunch)

- Grounds care duties to include strimming, mowing (ride-on and push mowers), hedge cutting, weeding, watering, sweeping up, daily bin emptying with the tractor, checking the play area, DIY etc as required. Experience advantageous but full training will be given.

- During early May/June you may both also be required to help out with the daily cleaning of the facilities/amenities



Couple 2 – Reception/Grounds

The job will suit a strong, confident, self motivated and hard working individual with a broad range of skills. Together with three other staff, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the whole park.

Duties will include: park care, park development, maintenance and repairs, staff management, staff training, siting caravans, caravan sales, after sales care, park security, health & safety, and some office admin.

Previous caravan park experience is preferred, but applicants from a building, construction or agricultural background will also be considered as they often have many relevant skills.

You will need to be able to deal with any problems that arise, so any construction, mechanical, grounds keeping, plumbing, and electrical experience will be useful. You must be computer literate, and have a valid UK driving licence. You will also need to have a good personality, be able to sell caravans to new customers and get on well with our existing customers, suppliers and staff.

This is a full time permanent position, which includes free accommodation on the park in a two bedroom lodge. You will be required to work 6 days per week in the summer, and 5 days per week in the winter. You will be based at Holdens, but may be required to travel to some of our other parks should the need arise.

Job Vacancy: Assistant Warden

We are seeking a warden couple to join our friendly, dedicated team of staff from the beginning of April until mid October.

Job responsibilities will include reception duties and shop work, general maintenance and cleaning. The applicants must be able to work at the weekend, essentially a Sunday, and mornings and evenings throughout the week. We anticipate the position to be 16 hours per week at a minimum but hours will be flexible according to staffing levels and will increase during holiday periods.

The applicants must have excellent customer service skills as they will be front of house and have customer contact. It is essential that one person is computer literate as they will be required to use the 'Prophet' booking system. DIY skills are also essential as maintenance of the holiday homes and amenities will be part of the job role. An interest in gardening would also be useful.

Experience is preferred but not essential as training will be given.

Oakdown has a vacancy for two Park Wardens (preferably a ‘Couple)’ commencing the end of February.
The vacancies are full time, working 5 days in a 7 day period including a mandatory Saturday due to the Guest changeover days, contracted for approximately 9 months of the year (March to November) the remainder of the year possibly involving casual employment as agreed with the Park Management.

The Vacancies would suit a ‘Couple’ who can demonstrate drive, enthusiasm and dedication to their potential role.
Excellent inter personal skills are required in this most important role as everyday dealings with Guest is prominent.

Escorting Guests to their allotted Holiday Leisure Lodge explaining the use of the items within the Leisure Lodge and their controls such as heating, TV etc.
Laundering the used linen and towels taken at each changeover.
Ordering and maintaining stores and consumables used by the Guests in the Leisure Lodges.
Providing support to Guests both within the Holiday Leisure Lodge and on the Touring Park on a Rota basis with the rest of the Oakdown Team 2 nights a week and one extra evening once a month (Friday) from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
Assisting within the Reception/Café/shop on a casual basis if staffing levels require.
Tasks as requested by the Park Directors and Management.
Predominantly for the male/female (Maintenance)
Managing and organising the cleaning of the recently refurbished Oakdown Amenity blocks as ‘Amenities Controller. This will obviously involve cleaning of the toilets, showers and bathrooms.
Ordering consumables used by the Amenities.
Checking the Amenities for cleanliness during the day to ensure problems can be corrected as they may arise.
Escorting Guests to their Holiday Leisure Lodge and when required to their Touring Pitch in conjunction with the other Wardens.
Refuse collection and disposal on a regular basis, with other Team members

Reports to: Park Manager

Job Purpose: To providing a first-class service and create a safe, relaxed & enjoyable holiday environment for all our customers by ensuring the smooth running of the site at all times.

Contract: The job is seasonal, from mid March to end of October. With a 40 hour working week and / or 20 hour Part Time position. This will include weekends and bank holidays. Ideally suited for a couple but not essential.

Pay Scale: £13,520 to £16,640 pro rata dependent on skills and experience.

You will be required to ensure site facilities, services and products are available, operational and maintained to a high standard and that they follow all health and safety requirements. To do this you will cover 3 main areas of the business, which are, Customer Care Services, Operational and Administration duties, Facilities and Grounds Maintenance.

Customer Care Services:
• Handling Customer enquiries to the Park in a polite and professional manner via telephone, email, letter and face-to-face.
• Manage and carry out check-in and check-out procedures in line with policy.
• Manage and response appropriately to customers ever changing needs and requirements.
• Investigating and solving customer’s problems as well as handling customer complaints, minor incidents, or other issues.

Operational and Administration duties:
• Manage site booking systems and maintain accurate information, records and files
• Operational and day to day running of a small site shop and information point where you will be expected to help customers with their needs.
• Compile and disseminate information to customers and residents.
• Maintain safety and security through positive communication with direct colleagues and of course our holiday guests and residents at all times.

Facilities and Grounds Maintenance:
• To present a site that is attractive, welcoming, functional and safe.?Maintain all public areas to the required standards as set by the Manager including pitches, toilet & shower facilities as well as washing, laundry and refuse facilities.
• Assess and carry out rudimentary repairs and maintenance to site utilities and facilities
• To ensure that high standards of maintenance are kept in all areas within buildings and grounds on the site.
• Maintaining high standards of maintenance in all buildings, grounds including gardens, roads, play area and other areas within the caravan and camping park site boundary.

Other general tasks involved in the day to day running of a park and working alongside the existing management staff. Wardens are expected to be vigilant, proactive and efficient
The owners / managers are present on site, but being able to work under own initiative is essential.

Successful candidates should possess a high level of customer care. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage. A clean, current driving licence is essential.

Hours worked five days out of seven to include weekends and Bank Holidays. Will also include evenings on call.
