Job Vacancy: Park Assistant

We are currently looking for a Park Assistant to work at Holdens Caravan Park.

Duties will include grass cutting, hedge cutting, strimming, gardening, maintenance, gas deliveries, trenching, concreting, caravan siting, basic plumbing, basic electrics and some caravan sales.

This is a physical job, requiring someone who is capable, fit and self-motivated, able to work on their own and with others, and happy to work outdoors all year round.

Previous caravan park experience is not essential, as candidates with a trade or from a building or agricultural background often have many relevant skills.

The position is permanent, with the possibility of accommodation being provided on-site in a static caravan.

The Role

The role holder is a strategic professional, responsible for representing the company and selling its products, services and bespoke solutions in an assigned geographical area. The role holder will have a good understanding of Residential Mobile Homes and be able to tailor solutions to customer requirements. He/She will be expected to generate enquiries and develop new customer relationships. He/she should stay up to date with the latest sales developments and contribute to the functional strategy of the sales department by applying this within the organisation.

The successful applicant, will be self motivated, have excellent communication skills, and be able to deal with people well. He/ She must also have sales experience in the park home industry. The job will also require good computer skills and efficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point etc. The job will be working five days a week and occasionally an extra half day, selling both new and pre owned mobile homes.


Key Responsibilities:

1. To meet and exceed Sales Targets set by the company.
2. To assist in forecasting business and market needs, and will operate on a multi-product basis.
3. To establish key customer relationships.
4. To understand customer requirements and offer bespoke solutions tailored to their needs.
5. To carry out all necessary steps to guide the sales process from agreement with client to completion.
6. May have on site management responsibility, or may assist in site management.
7. Updating company records at the head office and on computer system on a regular basis and to provide any reports requested by the Sales Supervising Manager.
8. Attending exhibitions or seminars as required which may involve working unsociable hours and/or periods away from home.
9. Weekend working will be required when necessary.
10. He /She will be based at the Company’s Head Office Sales and Marketing Department for Office support, and will attend the office on occasions as directed by the Sales Supervising Manager to promote sales or for required meetings.
11. He/she will produce the necessary paperwork to comply with procedures.
12. Provide cover for colleagues where necessary or for those who may be on holiday or sick leave.


Business Impact and Decision Making:

1. Medium-term business strategy and objectives typically guide this role, although there will be involvement in the formulation and development of future policy.
2. Impact of this role is as defined by the key responsibilities above but develops over the longer term.
3. Assessment of customer relationships and service requirements.
4. Maintains a regular senior level relationship both with customer and internally following the customer contact strategy.
5. Also liaises with all site managers within assigned geographical area to promote sales and supervise maintenance and administration of the site.
6. Provides Sales Supervising Manager with new ideas and strategies to implement in the future.



Qualifications:

Relevant job experience is necessary.
Good standard education is highly desirable.


Skills/Experience Required

1. Significant experience within the sales environment, in particular residential or holiday homes sales.
2. Evidence of driving up sales growth and customer satisfaction.
3. Sound technical understanding of the mobile homes industry products and services.
4. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
5. Computer Literate and working knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Mail.
6. Knowledge of other computer programs such as Photoshop is preferred.
7. Knowledge or experience of marketing is a plus.
8. Full Driving Licence.

Seasonal Campsite Wardens (Couple) - Lee Valley Caravan Park, Sewardstone, Chingford
£13,899 – £15,630 pro-rata per annum, per person.
March – End of November

A couple are required to assist the site managers at our camping and caravan park in Sewardstone, Chingford. Accommodation will be provided in static caravan.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the effective day to day running of the site.
• To carry out the administration of all site bookings (both touring and static) and to keep appropriate records.

• To allocate pitches and assist tourers with siting their caravans/tents.
• To collect fees and keep all necessary records, completing all necessary forms and returns that may from time to time be required by the Authority.

We are looking to recruit several Site Assistants for our Holmsley site in the New Forest. Varying lengths of contracts are available with a maximum period of 7 months.

The role of Site Assistant would require you to work 5 out of 7 days and this includes weekends, early mornings and late evenings on a rota system.

General duties would include site maintenance and upkeep including working in the site shop and takeaway, cleaning toilet and shower blocks, working on reception on busy check in days, maintaining and cleaning pre erected tents and the touring caravans on changeover days and meeting and greeting customers.

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, flexible, supportive to other team members, and have a aptitude for delivering extraordinary customer service.

Any knowledge of the following would be beneficial to your application (though not essential):

-Experience of Reception duties
