We require a friendly,lively and energetic winter warden couple to work with our existing team and carry out general park duties including facility and accommodation cleaning, reception and shop duties and general maintenance from October through to the end of April. The successful couple will be required to work two 6 hour days each week in return for which we will provide seven day per week accommodation in a 4 berth static caravan including electric,and wi-fi (an electric hard standing pitch is available if preferred). There is also the opportunity to work a third 8 hour day for which we will pay the living wage hourly rate to each person. This is currently £7.20 per hour amounting to £115.20 per week per couple. Exe Valley Caravan Site has 50 pitches for touring caravans, motor homes and tents. It is an adults only site, although a small number of Duke of Edinburgh scheme groups also stay.
The campsite is inside the Exmoor National Park, is set beside the River Exe, and occupies an area of about 5 acres. It is 5 miles from Dulverton, and 10 miles from Dunster.
The owners live in the adjoining Mill House, having retired from the day to day running of the site. Over the past 12 years the maintenance and friendliness of the site has been brought up to a high standard, and a large proportion of the bookings are from returning campers and from recommendations. We want to keep it this way.

Job Vacancy: Warden Couple 2017

We are looking for an active couple with their own caravan or motor home to run the bookings, reception, small shop, site maintenance, and cleaning of washrooms.

Reception/shop hours are 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, and 2.00 pm to 6.00pm each day. Maintenance and groundwork will add approximately 25 hours per week. On a 6 day week this will result in an average of some 75 hours per week for the couple.

Training will be available to take over our systems and gardening machinery. However some computer experience to handle emails etc would be an advantage, as would previous warden experience. A driving licence is essential.

The job starts on 1st March 2017, and after a probationary period of two months, continues until the site closes on 18th October.

The couple must also enjoy working as part of a team and look forward to welcoming our customers to our touring park. Their duties will include a mixture of reception work, cleaning and general park maintenance and helping to solve problems that our customers may have.

Computer literacy is essential as is a full clean driving licence. A knowledge of Word and Excel would be an advantage but not essential. A working knowledge of our PROPHET computer booking system is desirable but again not essential.

No prior experience as wardens is necessary as full training will be given.

The park is set in both woodland and open areas and consists of static caravans, seasonal touring and general touring.
All caravans are for private ownership with no sub-letting or hire fleet.
The position would suit a confident, active and highly motivated couple who are responsible, flexible and physically fit. They must have a hands on approach to running a caravan park.

Applicants are required to have good customer and practical skills. They must be able to work on own initiative, be able to problem solve and be computer literate.

Previous experience in the day to day running of a caravan park, static sales and siting of static caravans would be an advantage.

The managers will be part of a small team that are working to provide a high level of service to customers and to keep the appearance and maintenance of the park in good order at all times.

We are looking for a Site Assistant Couple to join us for the 2017 season starting at the beginning of March until the beginning of October.

The position primarily involves preparing and cleaning static caravans and lodges to a very high standard. You will need to have pride in your work and attention to details is key. There is also a small toilet/shower block and laundrette which is cleaned on a daily basis on a rota with the other couple. You will also need to carry out other tasks on the park when requested.

You will work 5 days a week with two consecutive days off together per week.You will also be on call one night a week until 9pm. Pay will be at the NMW, hours will be a minimum of 15 each but will increase at peak times.
