Job description - LIVE-IN PARK MANAGER COUPLE
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic couple to join us as live-in park managers at our beautiful owners-only static caravan park in rural Argyll.
These are permanent, salaried positions and include accommodation in a residential-grade lodge, with all household bills included.
Strathlachlan Caravan Park is a peaceful, family-owned park with privately owned holiday homes. We pride ourselves on maintaining exceptional standards and delivering excellent customer service in a beautiful rural setting.
We’re looking for a couple who are practical, proactive and enjoy working with people. Previous holiday park experience is an advantage but not essential. We’re far more interested in finding people with the right attitude, who can learn quickly, work independently and take ownership of the roles.
Role 1 – Park Maintenance Manager
You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the park, including:
- Grounds maintenance, landscaping and general upkeep.
- Routine repairs and practical maintenance tasks.
- Managing contractors and maintenance schedules.
- Monitoring the private water supply and assisting with park infrastructure.
- Operating and maintaining grounds machinery.
- Waste management, including towing the park’s waste trailer.
- Managing the park’s Wi-Fi network, including basic troubleshooting and liaising with external providers when required.
Essential
- Practical maintenance and DIY skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Able to work independently and outdoors in all weather.
- Friendly, organised and proactive.
Desirable
- Hospitality, tourism or holiday park experience.
- Grounds maintenance or property maintenance experience.
- Trailer towing experience.
- Experience with ride-on mowers or similar machinery.
- Plumbing, electrical or joinery skills.
- First Aid qualification.
Role 2 – Park Office Manager
You will oversee the day-to-day running of the office while providing excellent customer service, including:
- Reception, administration and owner enquiries.
- Invoicing, payments and bank reconciliation using Xero.
- Holiday home sales enquiries and caravan viewings.
- Website updates and marketing.
- Managing social media and creating engaging content.
- Operating our seasonal takeaway coffee shop.
- Organising park events throughout the year.
Essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative ability.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, email and social media.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
- Hospitality, tourism or holiday park experience.
- Sales and marketing experience.
- Social media content creation.
- Events management experience.
