Job description - Warden couple

We are looking for an enthusiastic warden couple to join our small, hard-working team for the 2022 season. You’ll be working with the owners, Jake and Sue Lodge alongside one full time employee (maintenance & siting, Monday – Friday) and one part time employee (bookkeeping). 

Both positions will start on Thursday 3rd March 2022 and finish on Friday 4th November 2022.

Position A: 20 hours per week @ £9.50 per hour.  Hours: 8.30am to 12.30pm Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday,

Position B: 20 hours per week @ £9.50 per hour.  Hours: 1.30pm to 5.30pm Saturday and Sunday & 8.30am to 12.30pm Monday, Thursday and Friday

Time off will not be permitted during bank holiday or school holiday periods. 

Necessary: No dependants, Full driving licence, Proof of main residential address

Preferable: No pets, Towing licence, Gardening experience, Good sense of humour

Attributes: Cheerful, Friendly, Reliable, Team player but able to work alone

 

Duties will include but are not limited to :-

Gardening: Weeding, planting & pruning – Manual work, including gardening, will form the largest part of the duties in both positions. Applicants must be fit and willing to undertake this type of work and willing to work in all conditions, including full sun, high and low temperatures and rain!

 

Reception building (including Laundry and Sauna) : Opening/closing and daily cleaning.

 

Health and safety checks: Daily checks of recreational equipment and public areas and reporting defects thereof. 

 

Caravans: Pre-season, exterior clean of approx 50 privately-owned caravans. Interior and exterior clean of pre-owned and new sales caravans, as and when required throughout the season (approx 20).

 

General maintenance: Litter collection, Refuse areas (emptying and storage of small recycling bins and rotation of large, general waste, bins), painting (fences etc)

 

Customer service: Neither position is office based but applicants must be willing and able to deal with general and sales enquiries from existing and potential owners in person and by phone (mobile phone provided). Ability to undertake minor caravan repairs advantageous.

Accommodation

A centrally heated static caravan (2018 Willerby Rio Gold, 32’ x 12’, 2 bed) will be provided, free of charge for use by the applicants only. The caravan must not be used as a main residence and applicants will be required to provide proof of their residential address. Electric, gas, water and wifi are included.

Caravan Site Description

Sunningcrest is a family-run static caravan park in Somerset, directly on the beach, in the popular resort of Brean. We’re just 10 mins from junction 22 of M5 making us a popular choice for families from the Midlands, South Wales and Bristol. The park hosts 132 privately-owned, static holiday caravans (no hire fleet or sub-letting) and opens from Mid-March to October.
