Job description - SEASONAL WARDENS
Seasonal Park Wardens: Two Seasonal positions available to start in March/April 2026 until September, October 2026. We are open for eleven months. 4th Febuary until 4th January.
We have options available for winter work until Novemeber 2026 or full time employment
Job to include:
Hours are 30 to 35 per week over 4 days per week
The postions can be filled by single persons or a couple.

1. Full-Time Caravan Park Supervisor/Warden:
– Maintaining high standards of the caravan park facilities.
– Increase bookings by promoting the park and assisting with reservations.
– Ground care, including landscaping and maintenance.
– General maintenance tasks to upkeep the park.
– Handling administrative tasks such as bookings, record-keeping and paperwork.
– Cleaning and upkeep of communal areas and facilities.
– Providing excellent customer care and assistance to guests.
Applicants for these positions should have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and be willing to work as part of a team to ensure a positive guest experience at York House Caravan Park.

This job is ideal for someone who enjoys working front line, dealing with customers, enjoys working on a computer and also likes general DIY, gardening and selling holiday homes.
Prior experience is not essential as a warden.
In the role, you are engaging with customers visiting on the tourer side of the park and also with holiday home owners and potential buyers. There are 79 tourer pitches and 80 private static holiday home pitches.
Holiday park includes work on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays with some responsibilities to be ‘on call’ on some evenings to deal with emergenices and late check-ins.
Days off are arranged on a rota basis with parks other wardens. The role is suited to those with flexibility in their personal life.
The responsibilties include:
Tourer Check-in. Guests come into Reception and your role is to have a happy friendly chat with them as they check-in
Tourer Bookings – Most bookings are done online and via Insite,Pitchup.com but some prefer to call on the phone or have special requirements. You will chat to them and help them get the right pitch and make the booking for them via our park management booking system
Tourer Questions – Customers have questions about the nearest beach, the best cycle rides, how to get to Whitby and many more questions. You help them get what they want including giving them leaflets and chatting to them.
Holiday Home Owner Support – we have 80 Static holiday homes owners providing a steady flow of requests (and chats) into Reception. This includes booking a gas bottle delivery, clearing around their holiday home, approving a balcony decking order. You handle these requests, booking them in to be done.
Sales viewings – show potential customers who have booked or turned up on spec around the holiday homes for sale. Answering their questions, showing them round the holiday homes on the park.
On call Warden – for 3-4 nights of the working week, you will need to be ‘on call’ as the evening warden. This requires you to deal with customers over the phone or pop out to help in person. From 5pm-9pm in the peak summer months (July, Aug, early Sept), this is because we have late check-in on the Tourer part of the park when Reception is closed. and the customer will call you via out of hours phone to get some help.
You will be working in a team which includes wardens with some similar reception responsibilities whom you will work closely with as well as a park facilities team and managing director.
Accommodation is provided on the park.

Skills needed:
Be a people person
Be very comfortable working with computers to organise and do your work, extensively use a park management system called Insite, Pitch Up, Stripe for bookings, payments and orders, we have a number plate recognition system and we take most bookings online.
Like being organised, efficient and finishing things properly
Be prepared to be flexible in what you do in any given day.
Have experience of working with customers and resolving customer issues.

Caravan Site Description
York House is set in the beautiful North Yorkshire moors countryside in the village of Hawsker, although still only a short drive from the coast. We offer both electric and non electric pitches, clamping pods, tent pitches and hard standing pitches for tourers.
