Bellingham Camping Limited
Northumberland, England

A peaceful award winning touring site with high quality facilities, situated in a privileged location in the beautiful North Tyne valley, inside the Northumberland National Park, within easy reach of the best of Northumberland. We are a Camping and Caravanning Club site and accept non-members. We are in possession of Visit England 5 star and AA 5 gold pennant ratings for 2015-2021. We have 70 pitches, of which 43 are hardstanding. All pitches are serviced with 16A electric hook-ups. Four Camping Pods are also available for hire. The facilities block provides free hot water at all times. The site shop is well stocked with basic grocery (including local produce), drinks, ice creams and camping items accessories. We also have a childrens’ play area. In 2014 we renovated a building to create a large indoor faciliity to improve campers’ experience on site. The facility includes a meeting/living area with TV/DVD and log-burning stove, kitchen, drying room, games room and additional small washroom facility for use by camping pod users (washroom will be in general use in quiet winter months). The site is within easy strolling distance to Bellingham village, its pubs and cafes, and the spectacular waterfall of Hareshaw Linn. The Pennine Way passes by the site and the North Tyne provides beautiful riverside walks or excellent fly fishing. Canoeing and golf are also available very close to the site. The adventurous can undertake challenging mountain biking in Kielder Forest, while Kielder Water with its watersports, lakeside walks, art and cycle trails, is wonderful for families. The forest has nesting ospreys, red squirrels, and the darkest night skies in England. This land bares vivid reminders of its past; and none more spectacular than Hadrian’s Wall, a short drive from the site. The historic houses of Cragside and Wallington are nearby, while Alnwick, the Simonside Hills, and the castles and coastline of Northumberland make wonderful day trips. The site is also on a direct bus route to Hexham, with connections to Hadrian’s Wall and Newcastle. We offer special events on site and have run special package tours.
