Shardlow Marina

Shardlow Marina

Situated in a rural setting in the historic canal-side village of Shardlow, our Caravan Park forms part of our leisure marina site. There is a bar and restaurant on site and for the keen fishermen, fishing is available within the marina. Shardlow Village has a unique place in the history of the country. The 18th century canal port, with its associated wharves and warehouses is clearly to be seen. Originally a river port, Shardlow developed greatly with the opening of the Trent & Mersey Canal in 1770. The decline of the canal business brought different uses for the warehouses but the area remains remarkably unchanged. We are easy to find and convenient for the Derbyshire Dales and the National Forest. Nottingham and Robin Hood country are within easy reach as are many other visitor attractions.
