The MacLeod Estate is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and hard-working full and part-time wardens for the 2018 season to work at Glenbrittle Campsite, Glenbrittle, Carbost, Isle of Skye, IV47 8TA. Varied customer-facing and practical skill sets are required combined with an ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate a real sense of pride in all you do. You will be working closely with Cuillin coffee Co baristas in the newly refurbished campsite café and will also have a number of cross-over duties. Café and retail experience would be extremely beneficial for the role.
We have two static caravans on site for staff accommodation. For real home comforts, if you have your own camper van, electric is supplied for the season. The campsite is remotely located at the base of the Cuillin mountain range, next to Glenbrittle beach and is a haven for walkers and tourists. The nearest village shop is 7 miles and the closest supermarket is 25 miles from the site.
Season: Mid- March start to 30th Sep 2018 with training onsite in early March.
Café and Shop onsite: our Cuillin Coffee Co café on site sells a selection of freshly baked breads, cakes and pastries. The shop also has a range of groceries, local craft produce and camping equipment. This area is combined with the main reception and office for campsite bookings, electric hook ups and general queries etc. Phone and email enquires are answered daily.
The site: requires ongoing maintenance during the season including groundworks, grass cutting, fencing, cleaning toilets and showers, filling pot holes, changing water filters, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and fixing any problems that occur during the day to day running of the site.
The toilet, shower block and dishwashing area: has recently been refurbished and requires attention throughout the day to maintain high standards of cleanliness which is reflected in customer feedback and reviews.

Skills and qualities essential for all these roles:
• UK Driving licence with own vehicle as site is remote with no public transport.
• Ability to work as part of a close team
• Excellence customer service with a smile and huge highland welcome.
• Enthusiasm, dedication, flexibility, multi-tasking
• Ability to adapt and persevere while maintaining composure and a positive attitude
• Willingness to work overtime to cover holidays and any illness
• Conscientious approach to tasks and good time keeping

Skills ideally required for all these roles are:
• Previous campsite or outdoor activity centre experience
• General Maintenance skills
• Operation of touch screen tills and basic use of computers, emails etc
• Cleaning
• Retail & café experience
Pay: A competitive hourly rate is offered for full and part time staff plus end of season bonus

HAVE IT & NUMERCY SKILLS TO UNDERTAKE ADMIN; JOB INVOLVES TAKING SEPARATE FRANCHISE OF CLUB HOUSE/HOLDING OF LIQUOUR LICENCE ESSENTIAL. CRB/DBS CHECKS AND REFERENCES ESSENTIAL.
