A seasonal caravan and camping park with 34 static holiday pitches for private owners:(no sub-letting allowed) and 2 park owned holiday letting caravans. 80 seasonal touring pitches of which 80% are permanent seasonal pitches with winter storage.
We are looking to find a special team to run this happy, friendly seasonal caravan and camping park. Ideally suited to an active friendly couple who are not looking for a 9-5 job. A job which requires a variety of skills with a flexible working timetable. To start in March.
The applicant must have experience in towing and manoeuvring caravans. The applicant will be required to have some basic skills in the use of the park ground-care machinery, some practical plumbing skills and some experience with electrics and general maintenance would be required
Additional work could be generated for the applicant with the relevant building skills.
The applicant must be computer literate to be able to answer emails and take bookings online. To be able to understand booking systems and website/social media workings. The applicant must be able to keep accurate records and be reliable and honest.
General tasks include grass cutting and general park appearance, cleaning to a high standard, customer care, rubbish management, painting, and siting caravans.
The applicant needs to be able to make Risk Assessments and take responsibility for Site Safety at all times
Accommodation is supplied if required. Salary to be negotiated.
The applicant is required to start in March 2021.

You will be jointly responsible for the day-to-day running of the site

The role may be built around an applicant’s best skillset but as a guide;

As well as checking in guest & undertaking site inspections etc. a large portion of the day may be a office based role during the busiest periods

Applicants must have competent computer skills, polite telephone manner and excellent customer service

Duties include:

– Processing booking
– Checking in customers
– On call responsibilities
– Some basic campsite maintenance

The candidates must be/have:

• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role
• Excellent customer care i.e previous customer facing job experience

A shorter July – August season is also available

We are looking for a hardworking, friendly, enthusiastic warden couple in good health to help assist with the running of the park over the busy 2017 summer season, from early March through to the end of October. Experience preferred but not essential.

Reception duties: Taking bookings through online platforms and by telephone, answering all customer enquiries, welcoming guests and checking in on a computer system, placing orders and running the small on-site shop, cash-handling and general administration and giving tourist information of the local area. You will need to have a high level of customer service and be able to deal with any issues quickly and professionally, be computer literate and willing to take on any further duties required.

Outdoor duties: Welcoming guests and escorting them to their pitch, moving caravans onto pitch, looking after the hire caravans and cleaning of wigwams, overseeing product stock levels, gas deliveries and maintaining the park’s high standards. You will need to be able to deal with any jobs that arise in a professional manner. A clean current driving licence is required.

You would be expected to be on call up to 4 evenings per week including nightly checks of the facilities, with 2 days off midweek and will need to work well alongside the existing warden team.

The MacLeod Estate is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and hard-working full and part-time wardens for the 2018 season to work at Glenbrittle Campsite, Glenbrittle, Carbost, Isle of Skye, IV47 8TA. Varied customer-facing and practical skill sets are required combined with an ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate a real sense of pride in all you do. You will be working closely with Cuillin coffee Co baristas in the newly refurbished campsite café and will also have a number of cross-over duties. Café and retail experience would be extremely beneficial for the role.
We have two static caravans on site for staff accommodation. For real home comforts, if you have your own camper van, electric is supplied for the season. The campsite is remotely located at the base of the Cuillin mountain range, next to Glenbrittle beach and is a haven for walkers and tourists. The nearest village shop is 7 miles and the closest supermarket is 25 miles from the site.
Season: Mid- March start to 30th Sep 2018 with training onsite in early March.
Café and Shop onsite: our Cuillin Coffee Co café on site sells a selection of freshly baked breads, cakes and pastries. The shop also has a range of groceries, local craft produce and camping equipment. This area is combined with the main reception and office for campsite bookings, electric hook ups and general queries etc. Phone and email enquires are answered daily.
The site: requires ongoing maintenance during the season including groundworks, grass cutting, fencing, cleaning toilets and showers, filling pot holes, changing water filters, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and fixing any problems that occur during the day to day running of the site.
The toilet, shower block and dishwashing area: has recently been refurbished and requires attention throughout the day to maintain high standards of cleanliness which is reflected in customer feedback and reviews.

Skills and qualities essential for all these roles:
• UK Driving licence with own vehicle as site is remote with no public transport.
• Ability to work as part of a close team
• Excellence customer service with a smile and huge highland welcome.
• Enthusiasm, dedication, flexibility, multi-tasking
• Ability to adapt and persevere while maintaining composure and a positive attitude
• Willingness to work overtime to cover holidays and any illness
• Conscientious approach to tasks and good time keeping

Skills ideally required for all these roles are:
• Previous campsite or outdoor activity centre experience
• General Maintenance skills
• Operation of touch screen tills and basic use of computers, emails etc
• Cleaning
• Retail & café experience
